What the revival keeps and what it changes
Every number is the one you remember. Everything that used to be annoying is not any more.
A free fantasy MMORPG. Hand-drawn, wide open, and running in a tab you already have open.
Free. Nothing to download. Nothing to buy.
Checking the server…
The world
You start in Hope, a small town on a big map. Everything past the gate belongs to something else — wolves on the road, darklings in the woods, worse under the hills.
Kill things, take their gear, socket the gems you earn. Find people worth travelling with. Then go further out than is sensible.
Features
No download, no launcher, no patcher. Open the page and you are standing in the world.
Forests, roads, towns and caves, all of it walked across. No loading screens, no instances.
Skills are rows of sockets. What you drop into them decides what you are good at.
Five attributes, a cap of 250, and no experience lost when you die. Coins, though — those you lose.
Fellowships of ten share the kill, and the share grows with the group rather than splitting thin.
Five friends and thirty gold between you. Guilds climb a standing table that pays out in experience.
Forty-five of them. Escort someone, clear a den, beat a clock — miss the clock and the quest is gone.
A full day and night every three hours. Out in the woods after dusk, carry a torch or see nothing.

The servers have been quiet since 2005. They are not any more — and this time there is nothing to install.
